At Empire, this is one of our founding principals. We strive to provide things made better, and it all starts with the fruit. Our roasters go to incredible lengths to source their beans. They are selected from the top 1% in the world and are bought farmer direct. From there we depend on our incredibly passionate team of baristas to deliver you the best cup of coffee and the experience to go with it. We believe that coffee is so much more than a commodity. It is truly an artisanal foodstuff, and deserves incredible care at all stages of production, from the plant growing, harvesting, and processing, to strong relationships between growers, roasters and baristas.

ENJOY THE SOLARIUM WITH FRIENDS

Founded in 2015, and proudly named after the vintage 1913 Empire Boiler that was recently decommissioned by The Adventure Hotel in Nelson, BC. This piece of equipment kept people warm for more than 100 years. Sections of this incredibly crafted steam boiler stand on display throughout our coffee house to pay homage to when things were just made better.

We are seriously passionate about great tasting teas. It is only because we have such a love of the leaf that you will find us offering up the best we can find and create to those who choose to indulge their palates. From White, Green, Oolong, Black, Rooibos, and Herbal, our teas are all loose leaf, and 100% Certified Organic. We use a state of the art, pour over steeping method to bring you the best cup possible. Our teas are all supplied by “The Tea Guy” out of Vancouver, BC.
